Analytical agency Games Industry published an infographic of the gaming industry for 2020.
The total gaming market by October was $174.9 billion, up 19.6% from last year. 49% of funds come from mobile games, 29% from console games and 22% from PCs.
FIFA 21 was the best-selling game of 2020 in British retail, Animal Crossing: New Horizons leads in Japan, with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War taking first place in the U.S.
Among Us, Fall Guys and Valorant became the most popular games of 2020 in terms of the number of search queries on Google.
In terms of the number of publications in the media, the leaders are Fortnite (75 thousand materials), Cyberpunk 2077 (72 thousand) and The Last of Us 2 (57 thousand).
The most downloaded mobile game of the year was Garena Free Fire, Among Us - Second. Users from India download the most mobile games, followed by the USA, Brazil and Russia.
